The Power Center Academy Knights managed to keep up with the Hamilton Wildcats until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Power Center Academy was outmatched by Hamilton at home and fell 69-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Power Center Academy has suffered since November 28, 2023.
Leading Hamilton to victory were Jamyah Minnis and Amare Boothe. Minnis dropped a triple-double on 19 points, 14 rebounds, and 12 steals, while Boothe shot 4-for-5 from long range and dropped a triple-double on 41 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 steals. That makes it 15 consecutive games in which Boothe has scored at least a third of Hamilton's points. Another player making a difference was Zanaiyah Woods, who scored four points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Power Center Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Hamilton, their victory bumped their record up to 4-11.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Kirby the next time they take the court. Hamilton will host Kirby at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Power Center Academy will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
