On Friday, Northridge came up short against West Jordan and fell 21-12. Northridge gained 64 more yards on the day, but it was West Jordan that made the best of use of them.
Michael Marriott threw for 182 yards and a touchdown. Jake Benzley was his top target, picking up 51 receiving yards and no touchdowns.
West Jordan can attribute much of their success to Kyle Curtis, who rushed for 16 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 74 yards and a touchdown.
Northridge has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for West Jordan, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Northridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. West Jordan will head out on the road to face off against Olympus at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Olympus will be hoping to continue their six-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
