After both having extra time off, Lab Museum United and the Pace Setters will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Lab Museum United is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.8 runs per game this season.
Lab Museum United is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 28-5 margin over Norman Thomas last Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for Lab Museum United.
Dahlia Legendre was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs, five runs, and six RBI while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
In other batting news, Lab Museum United got a massive performance out of Jane Rosenthal, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Delilah Rabin, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.
Lab Museum United lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now launched at least two home runs in four consecutive matches.
Pace never got on the board in their matchup last Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Bergtraum last Thursday. They walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Blazers. The Setters haven't had any issues with the Blazers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Lab Museum United's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 21.0 runs over those games. As for Pace, the victory also got them back to even at 3-3.
Lab Museum United was able to grind out a solid win over Pace in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 5-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lab Museum United since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
