Spruce Mountain suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Monday. They had to suffer through a rough 78-38 loss at the hands of Oceanside. While losing is never fun, Spruce Mountain can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Oceanside is ranked fourth).
Telstar's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5. As for Spruce Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.
Telstar was taken down by Spruce Mountain 73-22 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Telstar avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
