The Forest Wildcats will head out to square off against the Williston Mighty Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Forest will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Forest is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 21-3 margin over North Marion on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Kylee Perez spent all four innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mahri Lingle was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Weibenbacher, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI.
Forest always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .686. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither Williston nor Chiefland made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Mighty Red Devils walked away with a 7-2 win over the Indians. The victory continues a trend for the Mighty Red Devils in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won five in a row.
Williston also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Sara Hollender gave up only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jayla Coleman, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Layla Crago was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
Forest's record now sits at 10-5. As for Williston, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Williston's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Forest hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .340. It's a different story for Williston, though, as they've only averaged .220. Will they be able to contain Forest's hitters?
Forest came out on top in a nail-biter against Williston in their previous meeting on Tuesday, sneaking past 5-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
