Basketball Game Preview: Whitehall-Yearling Rams vs. Franklin Heights Falcons

The Whitehall-Yearling Rams will head out to take on the Franklin Heights Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Whitehall-Yearling will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Back in December of 2024, Whitehall-Yearling was able to grind out a solid win over Grandview Heights, taking the game 69-56. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 260th, while the Bobcats are ranked 576th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Whitehall-Yearling got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kyeona Myers out in front who posted 25 points in addition to eight steals and five boards. The contest was Myers' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Jackson, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, Franklin Heights ended up a good deal behind Bishop Ready on Saturday and lost 48-33. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Silver Knights recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Whitehall-Yearling is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.4 points per game. As for Franklin Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
