Konos Academy is 0-10 against the Knights since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Konos Academy pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 74-57 to New Creation Christian Academy.
Despite their defeat, Konos Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Preston Thornton, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Ben Swann, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Calvary Christian had to suffer through a rough 87-52 loss at the hands of the Cougars. Calvary Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 59-28.
Konos Academy's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Calvary Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 9-14.
Konos Academy lost to the Knights on the road by a decisive 65-47 margin in their previous meeting last Friday. Can Konos Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
