While losing is never fun, Delhi can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Denham Springs is ranked eighth).
Denham Springs' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from raegan white, who scored 14 points. Olivia Slack was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Delhi has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Denham Springs, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-2.
Delhi will be home for the holidays to greet West Monroe at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Denham Springs will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on White Castle at 6:00 p.m. on December 29th.
