The Bard Early College Raptors's road trip will continue as they head out to face the HEARTS for Jesus Christ Guardians at 7:30 p.m. on January 22nd. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though John Adams scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, Bard Early College still came out on top. Bard Early College walked away with a 65-55 victory over John Adams.
Meanwhile, HEARTS for Jesus Christ entered their tilt with Varsity Opponent with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. HEARTS for Jesus Christ put the hurt on Varsity Opponent with a sharp 58-35 victory on Tuesday. HEARTS for Jesus Christ has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead HEARTS for Jesus Christ to victory, but perhaps none more so than Josh Aten, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Silas Nixon was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Bard Early College's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-7. As for HEARTS for Jesus Christ, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
Bard Early College ended up a good deal behind HEARTS for Jesus Christ in their previous matchup back in January of 2019, losing 67-48. Thankfully for Bard Early College, Jarrett Aten (who shot 4-for-9 from long range and dropped a double-double on 32 points and 14 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time.
