Meanwhile, Gettysburg came up short against Red Land on Thursday, falling 15-5. The Warriors have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Fallon Jackson made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Sierra Shepherd, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Gettysburg's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Hershey, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
Gettysburg's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Hershey has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.6 hits per game. It's a different story for Gettysburg, though, as they've been averaging 8.9 hits. Given Hershey's sizable advantage in that area, the Warriors will need to find a way to close that gap.
