Affton is 9-0 against Normandy since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Affton Cougars will look to defend their home court against the Normandy Vikings at 4:30 p.m. Affton will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Affton, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 52-36 loss to Ritenour.
Affton's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Amelia Wilson, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals, and Anna M daughtry who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals. Wilson hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games.
Meanwhile, Normandy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They secured a 51-46 W over KIPP. The win was a breath of fresh air for Normandy as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Affton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Normandy, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.
Affton took their win against Normandy in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 46-20. Does Affton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Normandy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
