In other batting news, Bishop Lynch got a massive performance out of Faith Peterson, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. The dominant performance gave Peterson a new career-high in stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaliyah Bryant, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-3.
Bishop Lynch always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hockaday only posted an OBP of .400.
The win got Bishop Lynch back to even at 3-3. As for Hockaday, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Looking ahead, Bishop Lynch will be taking part in a tournament against Mesquite at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday. The last three games Mesquite has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Hockaday, they will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Prince of Peace at 5:00 p.m. on March 6th.
