The Community Charter Titans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They walked away with a 66-55 win over Malibu. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Community Charter.
Community Charter's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jefferson Barahona, who scored 17 points. That's the first time this season that Barahona scored 15 or more points. Misael Davila was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Community Charter has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-7 record this season. As for Malibu, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
Community Charter won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Lakeview Charter at 2:30 p.m. on January 18th. As for Malibu, they will play host again and welcome Magnolia Science Academy 5, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Magnolia Science Academy 5 is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
