Manteno won the last time they faced Coal City and things went their way on Thursday too. The Panthers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Coalers.

Manteno not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Coal City between 15 and 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-15.

Manteno's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Danika Fletcher, who had 11 assists and five digs.

Manteno was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive contests.

Manteno has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. As for Coal City, their loss ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-13-1.
