Cesar Cano Crosses Big Stat Threshold
On Friday, Lexington got the W thanks in part to Cesar Cano playing the best football he has all season. Cano rushed for 286 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.6 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (129.5).
The win snapped Lexington's winning streak at 14 games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-5 record. Cano and Lexington will challenge Gering at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Nate Kelley posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 158 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (104.8). He didn't just play on offense: he also made five total tackles and defended a pass.
Kelley is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Hastings on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Kelley saw the Tigers), he rushed for 114 yards and three touchdowns.

Tyler Thorell helped snap Lexington's 14-game losing streak dating back to last season. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making two total tackles and defending three passes.
This year, Thorell has averaged 39.4 receiving yards per game.
