The Villa Rica Wildcats pushed their score all the way to 62 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 73-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tri-Cities. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Villa Rica in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tri-Cities to victory, but perhaps none more so than Malique Johnson, who scored 16 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jayden London, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Villa Rica dropped their record down to 8-15 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Tri-Cities, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.
Villa Rica and the Knights will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Tri-Cities, they will head out on the road to take on the Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
