The Wheaton Academy Warriors will head out on the road to take on Chicago Hope Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a six-game winning streak alive.
Wheaton Academy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Marian Central Catholic on Tuesday. The Warriors were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Hurricanes. With that win, the Warriors brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.
Carson Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on nine hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

Kiebles went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while From went a perfect 5-for-5 with three doubles, three RBI, and one run. Those five hits gave From a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dom Murrell, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Wheaton Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .457. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Chicago Hope Academy made sure to put some runs up on the board against Chicago Christian on Tuesday. Chicago Hope Academy put the hurt on Chicago Christian with a sharp 11-3 victory. The result was nothing new for Chicago Hope Academy, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Wheaton Academy pushed their record up to 13-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Chicago Hope Academy, their win bumped their record up to 17-7.
Wheaton Academy took their victory against Chicago Hope Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
