This season hasn't been kind to the High Point Eagles, who are still winless after their 11th matchup. They were outmatched by Wise on the road and fell 99-53. High Point was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 56-24.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kadan Solomonraj, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds and five blocks. Jamal Drummond was the offensive standout of the matchup as he scored 20 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Colin Campbell, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
High Point's defeat was their tenth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Wise, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. High Point will take on Eleanor Roosevelt at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Eleanor Roosevelt knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully High Point likes a good challenge. As for Wise, they will be playing at home against Bowie at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Bowie is ranked 56th, while Wise is ranked 44th).
