Sardis came tearing into Tuesday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Glencoe Yellowjackets 70-44. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Glencoe saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kinlee Montgomery went 8 of 16 on her way to 23 points. The contest was Montgomery's third in a row with at least ten points.

Sardis is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. As for Glencoe, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Sardis Lions challenge the Southside Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Glencoe has already played their next match, a 62-43 victory against Lincoln on the 19th.
