The Lexington Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Chester County Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lexington will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 140th, while Chester County is ranked 48th).
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 65-26, which was the final score in Lexington's tilt against Jackson South Side on Tuesday. Lexington was down 54-21 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
In what's become a running theme this season, Chester County gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 45-21 margin over Hardin County. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Chester County.
This is the second loss in a row for Lexington and nudges their season record down to 11-7. As for Chester County, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-3.
Lexington took a serious blow against Chester County when the teams last played back in January, falling 51-22. Can Lexington avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
