Trenton aren't just finding sucess at home, as their game on Thursday extended their overall winning streak to seven. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 60-21 win over Lafayette. The result was nothing new for Trenton, who have now won five matches by 23 points or more so far this season.
It was another big night for Nyima Gillyard, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The matchup was her eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Koi Perry, who scored nine points along with six steals and five assists.
Chiefland's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Trenton, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Chiefland have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 27 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Trenton struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 26.1 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
