Jackson extended the longest winning streak in 5A Region 3 this week by beating Demopolis, 34-7. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
Saraland made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,476 from 3,913. The improvement was the result of 34-6 victory over Citronelle last week.
Sumter Central's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Jaguars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Julius Maye has thrown for 238 yards and four touchdowns this season, while LeeOtis Washington has 12 catches for 213 yards. Maye also leads the league in rushing with 243 yards.
Greenville led the league in scoring this week after putting up 61 points on Sumter Central.
