Vale is on a 13-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while the Bulldogs are on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Vale Vikings will take on the Nyssa Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Vale didn't have too much trouble with the Pirates on the road as they won 49-31. 49 seems to be a good number for Vale as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Nyssa strolled past the Vikings with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 40-22. Given Nyssa's advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 57th, while the Vikings are ranked 200th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Vale is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season. As for Nyssa, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7.
Vale beat the Bulldogs 64-53 in their previous matchup back in January. Does Vale have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
