The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. Winchester will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Beverly at 7:00 PM.
Winchester lost to Reading Memorial by a decisive 16-36 margin.
Meanwhile, Beverly might be getting used to good results now that the squad has three wins in a row. They made easy work of Peabody Veterans Memorial last Saturday and carried off a 28-7 victory. Beverly were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Beverly's win lifted them to 4-3 while Winchester's loss dropped them down to 4-3. We'll see if Beverly can repeat their recent success or if Winchester bounce back and reverse their fortune.
