Baseball Recap: Venture Academy Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

Venture Academy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Turlock Christian on Tuesday. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 8-2 victory. Considering the Mustangs have won 15 matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Angel Voller made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Xavier Perez, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Jose Duenas was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Venture Academy's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Turlock Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-5.

As of now, neither Venture Academy nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
