Al Cobb threw two touchdowns and ran for three more as
Giles County (Pulaski, Tenn.) beat Lipscomb Academy (Nashville, Tenn.) 48-7 on Saturday.
The Bobcats were up 27-7 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run by Cobb in the first quarter.
Giles County expanded its lead to 27 points entering the fourth quarter. GC scored once in the quarter on a
Nieco Walker touchdown run.
Even though the Pulaski school led by 27 points entering the fourth quarter, it poured the points on, scoring 14 in the fourth.
The Mustangs' lone touchdown came on a 55-yard pass in the second quarter.
The Bobcats had given up an average of 6.7 points prior to the contest. Lipscomb Academy's seven points were well below its season average of 23.5 per game.
The loss comes after Lipscomb Academy defeated Stratford 48-14 last week.
