Their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Grinnell, but their most recent contest may have softened the blow. They walked away with a 19-7 win over Knoxville. The win was a breath of fresh air for Grinnell as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
After a string of four wins, Newton's good fortune finally ran out last Friday. They took a serious blow against Oskaloosa, falling 20-56. Newton were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 7-35.
Grinnell's victory lifted them to 2-4 while Newton's defeat dropped them down to 4-3. We'll see if Grinnell's success rolls on or if Newton are able to steal their positive momentum.
