There wasn't a ton of movement in the power rankings this week, but there was certainly enough to keep things interesting. A special shoutout goes to Bixby's sophomore Mason Williams, who scored five total touchdowns in the team's most recent match.
Can't Touch This
Lincoln Christian's 55 - 19 win over Checotah last week had a lot to do with the leadership of senior Brendyn Harris. Harris earned four touchdowns and 319 yards rushing the ball. That performance made Harris one of the best players in the power rankings last week.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of the hottest tickets last week involved the clash between Stillwater (6th in the power rankings) and Del City (14th). Stillwater claimed a 35 - 21 victory over Del City. Stillwater found its leader in an underclassman: Qwontrel Walker ran for 268 yards and also punched in four touchdowns, which was enough to make him one of the team's best players.
No Stoppin 'Em
It isn't too difficult to come out on top when you enjoy a 246-yard edge over your opponent, and Berryhill had just that last week. It breezed past Verdigris with a final score of 55 - 26. One star in particular for Berryhill was junior Cody Ross, who threw for 311 yards and four touchdowns. At 81 total points, this was the highest scoring power ranking game of the week.
Next Week's Big Game
If you are itching to watch a first-rate contest, no game is supposed to fit the bill better than the one between Edmond Santa Fe (12th in the power rankings) and Union (3rd). This will be the second consecutive road game for Edmond Santa Fe. We'll see if it can take the spring out of Union's step after its win or if Union will hand Edmond Santa Fe another defeat.
