Bennington had won nine straight home games  and  Mara Pickering did her part to make it ten on Thursday. The Bulldogs walked away with  a   2-0  victory over Ell-Saline  with plenty of help from  Pickering, who  had 17  digs. She is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had ten or more in each of the last four games she's  played.
 Bennington not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Ell-Saline between 14 and 16 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16,  25-14.
Meanwhile, Sterling was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. They took  a  2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Moundridge.
 The final score came out to 25-10,  25-12.
 Sterling now  has a losing record of 14-15. As for Bennington, their win bumped their record up to 28-7.
