The Horse Creek Academy Stallions will head out on the road to face off against the Williston-Elko Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Horse Creek Academy has four straight victories, Williston-Elko has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Horse Creek Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They breezed by Wardlaw Academy at home to the tune of 74-29. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Horse Creek Academy has managed all season.
Horse Creek Academy found their leader in underclassman Kingston Hightower, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for Hightower. Another player making a difference was Gary Abraham , who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Williston-Elko had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a hard 62-48 fall against Bamberg-Ehrhardt last Monday.
Horse Creek Academy pushed their record up to 4-2 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Williston-Elko, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
