The Verona Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the School of the Ozarks Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Verona is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
Last Monday, Verona came up short against Billings and fell 55-47.
Meanwhile, School of the Ozarks didn't have too much trouble with Southwest at home last Thursday as they won 48-31. The victory made it back-to-back wins for School of the Ozarks.
School of the Ozarks' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lily Todd, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and eight steals. Another player making a difference was Holland Houston, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 17 rebounds.
Verona has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for School of the Ozarks, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Verona came up short against School of the Ozarks in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 60-50. Thankfully for Verona, Samara Smith (who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
