The Horizon Hawks waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 66-37 win over Loveland. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Horizon has posted since December 8, 2023.
Horizon was led to victory by Brady Greene and Boaz Wisne. Greene scored ten points along with nine rebounds and two steals, while Wisne scored 15 points. Alex Mccollum was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Horizon has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Loveland, they dropped their record down to 5-8 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Horizon on the road again on Thursday and play against Monarch at 6:30 p.m. on January 25th. Hopefully Monarch focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday. As for Loveland, they will head out on the road to challenge Fort Collins at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Fort Collins knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine contests -- so hopefully Loveland likes a good challenge.
