The Viborg/Hurley Cougars and the Campbell County Camels will round out the year against one another at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday at. After a string of three wins, Viborg/Hurley's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 55-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Elk Point-Jefferson. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Viborg/Hurley has scored all season.

Campbell County's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Lauren Kuhbacher, who scored eight points along with 18 rebounds and three steals, and Kaylie Neary who scored 15 points along with six rebounds. Those 18 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Onna Castellanos, who scored eight points along with three steals.

Viborg/Hurley's defeat ended a eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-2. Campbell County's record now sits at 4-3.
Viborg/Hurley and Campbell County were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, but Viborg/Hurley came up empty-handed after a 56-55 defeat.
