The Jaguar's Dan Johnson played well. The junior tight end caught one touchdown. His performance brought his touchdown total to five on the year.
Boulder Creek's lone touchdown came on an 11-yard pass from Gunther Johnson to Johnson in the fourth quarter.
BC came in giving up 15.6 points per game this season. The Anthem school struggled against the Mesa school's offense, which entered the game scoring 41.9 points per game. The Jaguars came into the game allowing 14.8 points per game. The Jaguar's seven points were well below their season average of 30.9 per game.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 49-0 win for Desert Ridge.
The defeat comes as a step back for Boulder Creek, which notched a 61-3 victory over Bradshaw Mountain in its previous outing.
