The Golden Plains Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Triplains/Brewster 68-47. The victory was some much needed relief for Golden Plains as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Leading Golden Plains to victory were Josh Rath and Dylan Wark. Rath scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and six steals, while Wark scored 21 points along with six assists and four steals. Rath continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Miguel Garcia was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds.
Triplains/Brewster lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Carson Schmidt, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Koda Kvasnicka, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Golden Plains' win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Triplains/Brewster, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Golden Plains will take on Quinter at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Quinter will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Triplains/Brewster, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wallace County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
