Sublette has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Wichita County Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kansas (Sublette is ranked 167th, while Wichita County is ranked 168th).
Sublette's game on Friday was all tied up 20-20 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 48-41 to Stanton County. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Sublette has scored all season.
In what's become a running theme this season, Wichita County gave their fans yet another huge victory two weeks ago. Couldn't have asked for a better start to 2024 than the 62-27 blowout they got on the road against Golden Plains. The win made it back-to-back wins for Wichita County.
Sublette's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Wichita County, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Sublette couldn't quite finish off Wichita County in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 and fell 56-53. Can Sublette avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
