AA District 15 recap Sept. 26, 2012
Raleigh-Egypt moved up to 199 from 237 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in AA District 15. The Pharaohs climbed the ranks as a result of a 42-22 win over the Pharaohs.
Douglass led the league in scoring this week after putting up 30 points on Washington.
5-foot-9 quarterback Jordan Spencer of Trezevant is the league leader in passing yards this season with 311. He has also thrown six touchdowns. On the ground, Manassas's Melvin Bond has rushed for 779 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Derrick Hankins. The Kingsbury star has 14 catches for 197 yards.
The top two teams in AA District 15 will face off this week when first place Trezevant takes on second place Manassas. Last week, the Bears, while the Tigers.
There should be lots of points scored when Trezevant and Manassas face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Teli White's team comes in having scored 180 this season, while Carl Coleman's team has scored 154.
