Taft (Calif.) beat Chavez (Delano, Calif.) 50-8 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a Gee touchdown run in the first quarter, the Wildcats led 43-0 at the half.
Taft expanded its lead to 50 points entering the fourth quarter. THS scored once in the quarter on a touchdown pass by Richardson to Gee.
The the Wildcats raced to 22 in the first quarter alone and never looked back.
Taft's standout player in the win was Gee. The senior wide receiver ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored 13 touchdowns on the season.
The Titans' lone touchdown came on a 7-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Coming into the game THS had allowed 26.2 points per game this year.
The win was a nice bounce back for the Wildcats, which lost to Shafter last week, 21-19.
In a South Sequoia game next week Taft (3-4) takes on Wasco, and Chavez (3-5) will go up against Kennedy also in a South Sequoia game.
