4A KingCo - Crown recap October 29, 2013
Skyline added to the longest winning streak in 4A KingCo - Crown this week by beating Issaquah, 30-17. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Spartans.
Newport took down Garfield 42-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Nkumbu Chisebuka ran for 97 yards in the win.
Ballard's dynamic duo of John DeGarmo and Kyle Ward proved to be unstoppable against Roosevelt, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. DeGarmo threw for 54 yards and Ward had 21 yards receiving. Ian Svasand helped Ballard's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 20 yards.
Chisebuka was a passing and rushing force as the Knights topped the Bulldogs.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Beavers' Jacob Ta'ase and Siddique Newkirk have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-10 quarterback Ta'ase has thrown for 1,192 yards this season, while Newkirk has 22 catches for 372 yards. Newport's Conner Baumann leads the league in rushing yards with 810.
