Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Birdville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Takiela Jones, who scored 14 points along with 8 steals. Jones has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Iman, who scored 6 points along with 10 rebounds and 3 steals.
The victory got Birdville back to even at 6-6. As for Haltom, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
Birdville is on the road again on Saturday and play against Bell at 9:00 a.m. on December 2nd. Bell presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Birdville in Texas (Bell is ranked 71st, while Birdville is ranked 665th). As for Haltom, they will head out on the road to face off against Nimitz at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Nimitz is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
