The Lemmon Cowboys have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They had to suffer through a rough 56-22 loss at the hands of Harding County. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lemmon has scored all season.
Harding County was led to victory by Claire Verhulst and Macey Wendt. Verhulst scored 11 points, while Wendt scored 11 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wendt has scored all season. Kelsi Costello was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Lemmon's loss dropped their record down to 16-3. As for Harding County, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.
Lemmon will be playing at home against the Longhorns at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Faith knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully the Cowboys like a good challenge. Harding County will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on February 6th.
