The Braymer Bobcats took care of business in their home opener on Monday (and then some). Everything went their way against North Harrison as Braymer made off with a 68-46 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Braymer also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2021.
Braymer found their leader in underclassman Dakota Brandon, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Carter Shoe, who scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals.
Several Shamrocks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Keygun Johnson, who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds. Johnson scored a full 30.4% of North Harrison's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Jerry Gilpatrick was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with 5 rebounds.
Braymer's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for North Harrison, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Braymer will take on Polo at 8:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Harrison, they will head out on the road to face off against Winston at 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
