Softball Recap: Columbia Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Mount St. Dominic Academy

Columbia faced Mount St. Dominic Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Cougars fell 7-3 to the Lions. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lions this season, with their most recent defeat being a 8-5 loss on Friday.

This is the second loss in a row for Columbia and nudges their season record down to 16-5. As for Mount St. Dominic Academy, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-3.

Columbia has already played their next contest, a 10-0 victory against West Essex on the 20th. Mount St. Dominic Academy has also already played their next game (against Middletown North), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
