The Omaha South Packers suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 69-33 defeat at the hands of Lincoln Southwest. Omaha South has not had much luck with Lincoln Southwest recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Omaha South's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aaliyah Foster, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds. Mckenzie James was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six steals.
Lincoln Southwest was led to victory by Kennadi Williams and Eleanor Griffin. Williams scored 16 points along with seven steals, while Griffin scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Griffin has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kallen Stauffer, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Omaha South now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Lincoln Southwest, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1.
Omaha South will head out on the road to square off against Omaha Westside at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lincoln Southwest, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Fremont at 5:45 p.m. on January 19th. Fremont is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
