It was a good run, but the Florida State University High School Seminoles unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 85-67 bruising from Winter Haven. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Friday (62), Florida State University High School still had to take the loss.
Florida State University High School lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Terrell "TJ" Baker, who scored 18 points along with eight assists and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Baker has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Amare Robinson, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Florida State University High School's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Winter Haven, the win (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 15-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Florida State University High School will challenge The Rock National at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Winter Haven, they will head out on the road to challenge Orlando Christian Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Orlando Christian Prep is on a three-game streak of home wins, Winter Haven a six-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
