The Coastal Christian Centurions waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Arendell Parrott Academy 65-39. Given Coastal Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while the Patriots are ranked 517th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Aidan Davies was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points. Another player making a difference was Holden Martin, who scored 14 points.
Despite the loss, Arendell Parrott Academy still got an impressive performance from Giorgio Parravicini, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Fletcher Jones was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Coastal Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 15-12 record this season. As for Arendell Parrott Academy, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.
Coastal Christian will head out on the road to square off against the Hurricanes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Cape Fear Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday. As for Arendell Parrott Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Epiphany is no doubt hoping to put an end to a nine-game streak of away losses.
