5A Division III Northern Top Player Performances of the Week
Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!
Damonte Ranch Gets a Boost from Craig in 35-0 Victory
Starting off the list is Damonte Ranch's Kobe Craig, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Craig rushed for 168 yards and two touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 145 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Craig must have North Valleys's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in August of 2023 (the last time Craig saw the Panthers), he rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries.

Colson Kermode and Co. Win Third in a Row
Colson Kermode was instrumental in extending Galena's winning streak to three on Friday. Kermode turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 126 yards and a touchdown, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground.
Kermode and Galena will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Hug at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th. The Grizzlies got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Hawks, probably because Kermode had a solid game then too: he threw for 122 yards and two touchdowns on only ten passes. Can he match (or beat) that performance?
