Hamilton lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Mason, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. The Big Blue blew past the Comets 16-6 on Thursday. The Big Blue might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven runs or more this season.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Hamilton, bringing their record up to 14-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Mason, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Hamilton will challenge Colerain at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.62 runs per game on average), something the Big Blue will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Mason, they will take on Princeton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.09 runs per game on average), something the Comets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
