The Taylorsville Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They took a 55-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Granger. Taylorsville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lancers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bronson Dallimore, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds. Dallimore hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for nine straight games. Another player making a difference was Logan Pokorny, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 14 rebounds.
Daudi Aweyso was his usual excellent self, scoring 29 points for Granger. Aweyso is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Stephen Kpaleh, who scored 13 points.
Taylorsville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Granger, their victory bumped their record up to 3-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taylorsville will take on the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cyprus is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.4 points per game this season. Granger's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. Allowing an average of 57.4 points per game, Kearns has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this game.
