The Mount Paran Christian Eagles waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 68-57 win over Washington. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Christopher Park, who scored 23 points. Another player making a difference was Tony LoPresti, who scored 14 points.
Mount Paran Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Washington, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.
Mount Paran Christian will head out on the road to take on South Atlanta at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Atlanta knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully Mount Paran Christian likes a good challenge. As for Washington, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Walker at 7:00 p.m. Walker is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
